Biobot

Biobot is a technology platform that turns wastewater into valuable information on population health. Using proprietary sampling devices and advanced spatial analytics based on five years of research at MIT, Biobot’s platform can measure health threats ranging from infectious disease outbreaks, to antibiotic resistance, or changes in drug consumption. The company is building the first urban health map of its kind with data previously unavailable, and their first product is already helping cities tackle the biggest public health threat in the nation: the opioid epidemic.

Biobot raised $2.5 million in Seed funding led by Chicago-based Ekistic Ventures and includes Y Combinator, Hyperplane, Homebrew, Data Collective, Refactor Capital, Bragiel Brothers, Liquid 2 Ventures, Soma Capital, and Pioneer Fund
