Chris is on the Soma investment team where he, along with investment processes, will help with LP communications and relationship building, especially as it ties to co-investments.

 

Prior to Soma, Chris worked at Manhattan West Asset Management where he launched and led their venture capital fund. The fund focused on making investments into emerging Seed fund managers as well as late-stage direct investments. Chris' direct investments included Jetti Resources, Klarna, Lambda School, TechStyle, TripActions and Vise.

 

Prior to Manhattan West, Chris led KEC Holdings, the family office for tech entrepreneur, Jeffrey Citron. At KEC, Chris led more than 70 venture capital investments and managed a portfolio of more than $400 million of LP investments. He held operational roles inside two companies wholly owned by KEC, a restaurant company and a private aviation company. Chris also helped KEC launch Vertose, a company that produced innovative financial derivative products and for which they received a patent.

 

Chris graduated with a B.S. in Economics from The Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania where he was also a member of the football team. Chris also helped created "HuMATHities", a self-study mathematics textbook designed to help students prepare for standardized examinations.
