YC grad Taskade raises $5M to take on Notion with a more collaborative productivity platform
Taskade is the future of team productivity and collaboration, combining project management with team communications in one easy-to-use and customizable platform. Whether it is ticking off daily goals, managing a group project, or planning a holiday with friends, getting organized with Taskade is simple, friendly, and fun. Besides its function and customizability, Taskade also differentiates from other task managers through its attention to aesthetics. With pastel colors, emoji galore, and a really simplified user interface, users quite easily forget that they are using a work tool. It is a simple, flexible, and smart product. Taskade has 1,800 teams using the platform, added 22 languages, launched an iOS and Android version, and has become the all-in-one app for many teams. Taskade was founded by a serial entrepreneur whose previous mobile app startup gained 25 million users and reached the #1 app store ranking in over 20 countries, and was eventually acquired.
Taskade is tapping into tremendous consumer demand to simplify and unify the multitude of productivity apps out there today. In particular, for remote workforces or office-based teams working across different geographies, reducing app switching costs will significantly boost productivity while also reducing administrative management.
