Qurasense started exploring the uses of menstrual blood with a team at Stanford University Hospital in 2014. What they discovered was nothing short of incredible: period blood contains a wide array of unique health data that enables early diagnostics and disease management.
They have built a unique menstrual pad that captures and preserves period blood for medical analysis. It looks and feels like any regular menstrual pad. The pads will eventually be able to detect biomarkers such as hormones, vitamins, minerals, HR-HPV, cancer and other disease markers.
The Qurasense app is a menstrual tracking app and the way they securely send you test results and personalized insights. Based on your profile (age, health goals, medical condition) Qurasense will recommend a personalized blood panel for you. However, you can add and remove tests on the app and make sure you are measuring the biomarkers you need. After you’ve defined the panel, you can start using the Q-pad.
Qurasense will display your blood test results in the app and provide you with personalized health insights. If there is something out of the ordinary, they will always suggest actionable next steps or if necessary, offer followup testing.
