Calii is building a marketplace where users can buy groceries and daily essentials directly from producers in Latin America with 20-80% in cost savings.
Latin America’s consumer goods supply chain is highly fragmented and controlled by middlemen. Producers have no simple way to sell directly to individual consumers. As such, they rely on many layers of middlemen who take up 80% of the margins. To solve this, Calii aggregates consumers via group buying and match them directly with producers, thereby giving back the 80% margin as profits to producers and savings to consumers.
Calii’s is built by Stanford engineers out of the Stanford AI Lab. Calii has launched in Mexico and is growing rapidly and organically in Latin America.
