Athlane looks to connect brands and esports streamers with a fresh $3.3 million in funding
Athlane is creating the Bloomberg for esports providing a real-time knowledge base for pro teams, streamers, sponsors, events and fans. They are the first to offer extensive and granular insights on esports fans with the ability to analyze demographics performance metrics and engagement.
Since 2017, $4.5 billion has been invested in eSports with an audience of 450 million viewers. Every year there are 4,000+ tournaments with an average net prize pool of $1.5 billion. Athlane is capitalizing on the growing opportunity so that brands can surface historical and real-time trends through AI-driven insights. Athlane is now being deployed to brands, esports leagues, betting companies, leagues, pro teams and arenas. The company was founded by Harvard graduates and is backed by Y Combinator and Soma Capital.
