Soma Capital is a fund built by founders, for founders. Soma invests in brilliant teams who are “starving” to solve huge problems, push civilization forward and improve the human condition.

Soma Capital was founded by Aneel Ranadive, who has over 10 years of experience building companies and investing in over 200 startups including Cruise, Rappi, Embarktrucks, Astranis, Alto Pharmacy, Ironclad and Lambda School (combined valuation of over $50b across all portfolio companies).
Aneel works closely with his father Vivek Ranadive, who founded TIBCO Software and sold it to Vista Equity for $4.3 billion in 2014. TIBCO Software’s pioneering products include big data, analytics, event processing and cloud services, making Vivek a key expert in enterprise software. In 2013, he purchased the NBA’s Sacramento Kings, becoming the first Indian-born majority owner in the league.
Soma has formed a deep relationship with Bow Capital, Vivek Ranadive’s venture fund which focuses on Series A and Series B investments. Through this relationship, Soma Capital has access to Bow’s deep rolodex of CEO-level relationships with some of the biggest brands in the world, who can help make strategic introductions for portfolio companies.
